Airport (EGNM).
Located on the moorland above Yeadon in West Yorkshire, LBA is the highest major airport in England at 208 metres (681 ft) above sea level. A single asphalt runway, a compact terminal, and a base fleet that punches well above its weight.

A short history
The airfield at Yeadon opened in October 1931 as Leeds and Bradford Municipal Aerodrome. During the Second World War it became a shadow factory for AVRO, producing Ansons and Lancasters that were flight-tested from the same runway modern airliners use today.
After the war, scheduled services steadily grew. The runway was extended to its current length in the 1980s, opening the airport to jet operations and international charter flights. Today LBA handles around four million passengers a year to destinations across Europe.
